Filipinos looking for online work are facing a new danger: fake recruiters using AI-generated job ads to steal money or personal data. These scammers pretend to offer high-paying writing, data entry, and assistant roles. Once you apply, they ask for “registration fees,” “account activation,” or “security verification.”

The scam works because the ads look extremely real—complete with fake HR photos, fake logos, and chatbots that imitate real staff. Many Filipinos have already reported losing ₱300 to ₱3,000 per transaction.
Why it matters: With more Filipinos job-hunting online, scammers also upgrade their methods. Always verify the company through official websites, avoid payments, and check reviews before sending documents.
